More SJA Series 3 news!

The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 3 is due to start in October, which is almost a month later than when the previous two series' aired. Digital Spy recently reported Thursday October the 15th as the possible start date, but no one belived it!

And Sarah-Jane.TV are reporting that the cousins of
the Slitheen, the Blathereen, are orange! They have a picture as well! But it does look like it could just be a Slitheen in Orange lighting though. We shall see. See it here.

Eve Myles in 'Framed' at 8.30pm, tonight on BBC1

Not very 'Who releated but just a reminder to tune in and watch Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper) star as Angharad, a local welsh school teacher in new Drama 'Framed', tonight at 8.30pm on BBC1. It is a screen adaption of the award winning novel by Frank Cottrell Boyce. The running time is 90 minutes.

Eve said: "Angharad is quite different to Gwen, as she's quieter, and more thoughtful. She's not soft, she's feisty, but a lot more complicated. She's quite nosy, but only because she's lived there for such a long time, and nothing much happens.

I have read the book myself and it is one of my all time favourites. Below is a synopsis.

Set almost entirely in Wales, Framed tells the story of 10-year-old Dylan Hughes and his family's struggle to keep their small petrol station, which sits at the foot of a mountain in North Wales, afloat.

Manod village is a rain-soaked community where hope is thin on the ground, and money even thinner. When Dylan's dad suddenly leaves home, things get even tougher for him, his sisters Minnie and Marie, baby brother Max, and his mother.

Da's departure however, coincides with the secretive arrival of a convoy of men and trucks, who take residence on top of the mountain. The villagers discover that the National Gallery in London has been flooded, and the priceless paintings sent by the lorry load to Wales for safe storage in the bowels of the old slate mine inside Manod mountain (as they were back in the Second World War).

In charge of this is Lester, an intelligent but uptight art curator who prefers paintings to people. That is, until a funny and pivotal misunderstanding leads him to invite Dylan to view the paintings inside the mountain. What ensues is good news for both Lester and the rather depressed town of Manod.

Manod develops an interest in art and Lester develops an interest in Manod, in the form of the lovely Angharad, the local school teacher. Through the transformative power of art, Manod starts to transform itself, beginning with the service station, where Mam and the children revive the flagging fortunes of the petrol station by broadening the services they offer into catering and a coffee bar.

However, despite everybody's best efforts, the petrol station faces closure when the family fail to generate enough cash to keep it going. Could an audacious art theft solve their problems?

Please do watch this. You won't be dissapointed, I'm sure.

Dalek: "Would you care for some tea?" Audio recording

Not only has Alun. Vega caught us the first recording of the Eleventh Doctor, but also an audio of a Dalek saying "Would you care for some tea?" as well from filming.

Listen to it here.

Here are some of his very interesting spoilers and theories.

As far as I can tell, the story so far is that Bill Patersons character is some kind of Professor, a boffin working for Churchill during WW2. He believes hes invented the Daleks as a new super-weapon, though hes a bit fuzzy on how the idea came to him. The Daleks are stringing the Professor along, playing docile and very British.

Dalek: Would you care for some tea?

Churchill doesn't care where the Professor's "ironclads" came from, only that they have the potential to defeat the Nazis and win the war.

Churchill: Death to our enemies, Death to the 3rd Reich!
The Doctor: Yes, yes, and death to everyone else too.

The Doctor is trying to convince the Professor and Churchill not to unleash the Daleks, but they're not taking him seriously (possibly because he seems implausibly young?) hence his growing frustration and anger, as he turns on the playing-it-innocent Daleks:

The Doctor: I sent you back into the void. I saved the whole of reality from you. I am the Doctor, and you are the DALEKS!

My reading of this line is, he seems not only to be trying to convince Churchill and the Professor of the Daleks true nature, but also reminding himself of who he is: the Doctor!

The Professor (Bill Paterson) seems to warm to Amy, as they're both Scottish. I believe the Professor says: "Are you from the Islands?" Very sweet.

Amy Pond is definitely 100% Scottish. She has a soft accent, so her voice didn't carry far, making it hard to hear anything she said.

We glimpsed someone looking very Churchillian from the side, yesterday lunchtime, but didn't recognise the actor.

Remember it won't all be true. But it is plausible.

Hear The Eleventh Doctor speak and confirm Daleks!

Hear Matt Smith speak as The Doctor Here! Alun.Vega audio recorded this at the scene in Jacobs Antiques Center, Cardiff, August 28 2009.

Alun- I wasn't bugging them! I was simply standing in the stairwell above where they were recording. There is a open (caged) lift shaft - seen in Love & Monsters - and the sound carried upwards when the actors shouted, as Matt did here.

The Doctor (Matt Smith) says: "I send you back into the void. I saved the whole of reality from you. I am the Doctor, and you are the DALEKS!"
Lots of thanks to Alun.Vega

Today's Series One/Five Filming Update

At today's filming, the trailers are reportedly labeled, The Doctor, Amy, Enemy No 2, Voice of Enemy, andChurchill! They used the word Enemy before to refer to Daleks, who it probably is again afterwhat was seen yesterday! From this we can also that there is an Enemy number 1 at least, so multiple Daleks? And the voice of the Daleks is Nicholas Briggs as always. And Churchill! As this is obviously a WWII story that is very likley but could it just be a code name for somebody else? We shall see!

Bye!

Yesterday's Series One/Five Filming Round Up

Here's a round up of yesterday's filming on top of the Glamorgan Building at Cardiff University. So far, we have seen Matt Smith and Karen Gillian, four World War II soldierswith a general in a blue uniform, and the Dalek. We can almost confirm it is a Dalek after these two photos-

The first picture is the key to the Dalek rumour. The man on the right is Barnaby Edwards. The main Dalek operator. The second one is of a the supposed Dalek next to a which shows that it is the same height as a Dalek. If this is not proof, then I don't know what is.

The Dalek Collection Cover

The official cover of The Dalek Collection has been revealed today. This DVD will consist of seven episodes of Doctor Who. It will be released on 16th October this year across the United Kingdom and Ireland at an RRP of £15.99. Thanks to The Gallifrey Times for the cover. A synopsis is below.

The Dalek Collection, featuring Christopher Eccleston as The Ninth Doctor & David Tennant as The Tenth Doctor. Celebrate one of Doctor Who’s deadliest foes in this fantastic collector’s DVD. Specially packaged and featuring seven action-packed adventures from the new series plus an exclusive interview with David Tennant on this terrifying enemy. Watch the Doctor and his companions battle against the Daleks, a distillation of all that is evil in the Universe in these thrilling episodes: Dalek, Bad Wolf, The Parting Of the Ways, Daleks in Manhattan, Evolution of the Daleks, The Stolen Earth and Journey's End.

The cover look's great in my opinion, though I personally won't be buying thsi as I already have many of the episodes on DVD already, but for anyone that does not, this is great! Though the exclusion of Army of the Ghosts/Doomsday has not gone down well with everyone.

RTD drops lots of hints!

In two new video's, Russel T. Davies drops hints about the hand that picked up the Master' ring in The Last of the Timelords (3.13).

"Who says that she picked up that ring?" (Referring to Lucy Saxon)
"It looked older than Lucy Saxon's hand I would say, if you study that hand"
"We'll see more of that hand"
"It's not quite as simple as it sounds"

So it looks like the mysteries surrounding the ring shall not be mysteries for much longer. Though he did also say that the actual hand was producer Tracy Simpson.

He also said that John (Barrowman) and Eve (Myles) are dying to do a fourth series of Torchwood but it would be well into the new year before anything started happening. He said he would also come back and do it as well.

So the future looks bright!

The videos are here:
