Someone else was at yesterdays filming who we didn`t know about.
Yes, Steven Moffat himself was there to see his era begin.
--
Also, I`ve found a theory on the internet about the filming yesterday.
What if the Sea Devils are back?
They`re filming on a beach after all.
Some believe that this is true and that the metal junk is a crashed spaceship.
What do you think?

An interview with Lizo about the filming of Series Five was shown last night.
You can view it here:
And the filming was briefly mentioned on Newsround:

The Sonic Screwdriver can now be added to the list of changes in Series Five
What else can that be other than the Sonic Screwdriver? If you have a suggestion please leave a comment.
Surely if they were going to change it they should change it to River Song's sonic.
This just doesn't feel like the same show anymore.
First of all, we have three more pictures from yesterday.
Also, I have found out that today's filming will take place in the Forest of Dean but we're not sure where abouts in the Forest of Dean. This will make it harder for set reporters to find the filming but if they do and pictures are taken, we'll have them.
You don't need to look further than this blog.
More news as and when we get it.

Typical. The Forest of Dean is only 40 minutes by car from where I live but my Dad is at work and my Mum doesn't drive.
Could of actually seen Doctor Who being filmed otherwise (and asked about that TARDIS).
Monday 20th July 2009.
Oh, what a day it was.
A day that will always be remembered by Who fans.
There's been happiness, there's been sadness and there's been a whole lot of anger.
There were strong rumours that the filming of Series Five would begin today and we were hoping it would be true.
There were chances that if it was true we would get some pictures but not many because most filming would be done inside.
We were also told that the BBC would do a press release later in the week with pictures of Matt Smith and Karen Gillan in costume along with details of Karen Gillan.
We didn't know what we were in for.
The day started with a press release from the BBC very early showing us The Doctor and his companions costumes and we were also told that the companion would be called Amy Pond.
Mixed reactions over The Doctor's outfit.
Some felt it was too old fashioned. Some felt that they were trying to cover up the fact that Matt Smith is so young with an old fashioned outfit. Some people were happy and some people couldn't care less.
There were also mixed reactions over the name "Pond".
Then later on we got pictures from filming and from then on, it just didn't stop.
Alex Kingston was seen in photos meaning that Professor River Song was returning.
But the most shocking news of all was that the exterior of the TARDIS had changed.
Changed to a more classic theme.
Many fans were outraged at this as the Nine/Ten era TARDIS was the favourite TARDIS of many fans and there doesn't seem to be any reason for changing it (Except for the fact that Mr Moffat doesn't like the windows on the current TARDIS).
This now makes the rumours of the TARDIS interior being changed even stronger.
Many fans are upset because there is too much change.
Many fans are excited for a complete new era.
And many fans don't know what to think.
One thing is for sure,
This has been one hell of a day!

Don't worry, I won't be doing posts like this usually. I just thought that this has been such an exciting and shocking day that it would be nice to reflect on it.
I was also inspired to do this when a friend (Dalek Thay of the Doctor Who Figures Online Forum) referred to my earlier round up of the day's news as a "Summary of the day".
I am very happy.
In just one day, I have reached 100 hits on this blog.
Thank you so much to everyone who has visited and made this happen.
I hope you continue to visit.
An even bigger thanks to those who have left comments on the Cbox, voted in the poll etc.
To celebrate this achievement, I have made a new banner!
Please continue to enjoy my blog!
Set Report:
...We arrived at the beach and there was the TARDIS, not the TARDIS of recent times, but the Hartnell one. Retro. Back to basics. This is Moffat injecting the classic series right into the new series.
Anyhoodle, the TARDIS seems to have landed next to the crash landing of some sort of alien spaceship. Debris everywhere, all around and smoke is billowing all around. Thick smoke. Then Matt and Karen leave the TARDIS and have a look around. Flames around the TARDIS....River Song in a long black flowing dress seems to already be there. But she isn't unknown to the Doctor. He clearly recognises her as friendly and they have a chat. This scene was filmed over and over again.
On the behind the scenes front, both Karen and Matt were wonderful - polite, friendly, posing for photos, always smilie. I even got my picture with the new companion! Brilliant!
Thanks very much to Scooty and Life, Doctor Who & Combom for the pictures and set report.
And the following pictures are from SFX:
Ladies and gentlemen, Series Five has begun.
The Flat Pack TARDIS will be in the shops by Christmas ;)
As you can see, today`s filming was done at "Bad Wolf Bay".
Let`s just hope it`s nothing to do with Rose.

Warning!
Spoilers (as a certain someone would say)!!!
The rumours were correct and the filming of Series Five began today.
All day, we've been getting pictures and fans have been getting more and more excited, more and more confused and in some cases more and more angry.
The first picture of the day was a picture of Matt Smith and Karen Gillan in costume:
Everyone began to talk about Matt Smith's outfit.
Some love it. Some hate it. What's your opinion? Leave a comment.
As this was announced, it was also announced that the companion played by Karen Gillan would be called Amy Pond.
Most people seem to hate her second name.
Then a little later on, we got pictures of them with the TARDIS and many fans filled with anger.
The TARDIS has returned to a Classic exterior.
Some fans are fine with this but many are angry.
The Nine/Ten era TARDIS was the favourite of many people including myself and there doesn't seem to be a good reason for changing it and certainly not changing it so drastically.
The change of the exterior means that the interior is more than likely changed too.
Many fans are angry because there is too much change in Series Five.
Then later on, fans were a little happier as some more pictures were posted which included a familiar face:
Professor River Song is back!
It was always going to happen wasn't it? Moffat created her after all.
Will her story be explained or will we still be left asking questions?
Some people think that both her and Amy Pond will be companions and some people think she's just in this one episode.
This may be the last time we see her though because in Forest of the Dead she said to The Doctor "The last time I saw you, the real you, the future you, I mean - you turned up on my doorstep, with a new haircut and a suit".
This certainly sounds like Matt Smith and she says "The last time I saw you" so we may not see River again after this. This may just be them meeting one last time with flashbacks explaining their relationship and adventures together.
Theories:
- Some people believe that Matt Smith is an alternate or younger version of The First Doctor which would explain the classic TARDIS and why in an interview, when asked about David Tennant's regeneration, Russell T Davies said "Or do you get to see the regeneration? We may have a few tricks up our sleeves".
- There are many theories about River Song returning but they have been covered above.
There will be lots of exciting news now that filming has begun and probably more today so watch this space!
Some very exciting news regarding Torchwood figures.
First of all, wave 2 has arrived!
Pre-orders were sent out last week and the figures are now being sold in Sci Fi Collector shops.
If you haven't already bought them, do it now!
In other news, an exclusive Captain Jack variant has been revealed.
This revised Captain Jack figure is limited to 3000 pieces and will be sold at ComicCon and then possibly sold on Sci Fi Collector's website if there is stock left over.
Really exciting news!
