New Eleventh Doctor Figures For Sale!

As I'm sure you know, two new Eleventh Doctor figures were released on Saturday night in a "Crash set". One of the Raggedy Doctor and one of the Doctor in his costume with red shirt and bow-tie. There is also an exclusive TRU version which has the Doctor in his costume with blue shirt, blue bow-tie and brown boots rather than black.

Anyway, I am selling these two figures (The Raggedy Doctor and red shirt Doctor) on eBay to raise a bit of cash. Before people start jumping down my throat, this is not scalping. I have started the items at 97p, much less than they cost. It's up to the bidders how high they go. It's not like I've done Buy It Now at 25 pounds or something. And also, I'm only doing this because I really need the money and to be fair, I do a lot of stuff for free such as the NTTAS Competitions.

The auctions can be found here:

These figures have great paint jobs unlike alot of these packs so bid in confidence!
Don't hang around - these are 24 hour auctions!

Thanks for your interest!

Get Your Bookmarks Out!

Later this month, the first 3 Eleventh Doctor/Amy novels are out and the covers have finally been revealed. They can be seen below along with the synopsis':

Apollo 23 by Justin Richards
"For a few moments this afternoon, it rained on the moon..."

An astronaut in full spacesuit appears out of thin air in a busy shopping centre. Maybe it’s a publicity stunt. A photo shows a well-dressed woman in a red coat lying dead at the edge of a crater on the dark side of the moon – beside her beloved dog ‘Poochie’. Maybe it’s a hoax. But as the Doctor and Amy find out, these are just minor events in a sinister plan to take over every human being on earth. The plot centres on a secret military base on the moon – that’s where Amy and the TARDIS are.
The Doctor is back on Earth, and without the TARDIS there’s no way he can get to the moon to save Amy and defeat the aliens. Or is there? The Doctor discovers one last great secret that could save humanity: Apollo 23.

Night of the Humans by David Llewelyn
"This is the Gyre - the most hostile environment in the galaxy..."

250,000 years’ worth of junk floating in deep space, home to the shipwrecked Sittuun, the carnivorous Sollogs, and worst of all – the Humans. The Doctor and Amy arrive on this terrifying world in the middle of an all-out frontier war between Sittuun and Humans, and the countdown has already started. There’s a comet in the sky, and it’s on a collision course with the Gyre...

When the Doctor is kidnapped, it’s up to Amy and “galaxy-famous swashbuckler” Dirk Slipstream to save the day. But who is Slipstream, exactly? And what is he really doing here?

The Forgotten Army by Brian Minchin
"Let me tell you a story. Long ago, in the frozen Arctic wastes, an alien army landed. Only now, 10,000 years later, it isn't a story. And the army is ready to attack..."

New York – one of the greatest cities on 21st century Earth... But what’s going on in the Museum? And is that really a Woolly Mammoth rampaging down Broadway? An ordinary day becomes a time of terror, as the Doctor and Amy meet a new and deadly enemy. The vicious Army of the Vykoid are armed to the teeth and determined to enslave the human race. Even though they’re only seven centimetres high.

With the Vykoid army swarming across Manhattan and sealing it from the world with a powerful alien force field, Amy has just 24 hours to find the Doctor and save the city. If she doesn’t, the people of Manhattan will be taken to work in the doomed asteroid mines of the Vykoid home planet. But as time starts to run out, who can she trust? And how far will she have to go to free New York from the Forgotten Army?

I love the new design for the novels! All 3 of these great looking books are due out on Monday 26th April with an RRP of 5.99 each.

And then on the 27th May, the TARDIS Handbook will be released which gives the inside scoop on 900 years of travel aboard the Doctor's famous time machine:

The TARDIS Handbook - Steve Tribe

Everything you need to know about the TARDIS is here – where it came from, where it’s been, how it works, and how it has changed since we first encountered it in a London junkyard in 1963.

Including photos, design drawings, floor plans and instruction manuals from different eras of the series, this handbook explores the ship’s endless interior, looking inside its wardrobe and bedrooms, its power rooms and sick bay, its corridors and cloisters, and revealing just how the show’s production teams have created the dimensionally transcendental police box, inside and out.

Doctor Who Magazine Companion Edition: The 2009 Specials

The annual Doctor Who Magazine Companion special is out soon and the cover has been revealed:

It is beautiful!

These magazines are full of brilliant stuff and very informative! I highly reccomend them!
This edition is due out on Thursday 15th April with the RRP of 5.99

This cover was originally going to have the new logo on! Tom Spilsbury, the DWM editor, said on a certain forum that it would have the new logo as he didn't want it to look like an outdated magazine which has been sitting on the shelf for a while with no one buying it. Some other members, including myself, did what we Who fans do best and moaned and it worked! Tom changed his mind and used the old logo! I'm sure you'll agree this is much better! It matches the previous 4 and it wouldn't of seemed right having the new logo on a magazine about the specials.

Lovely!

Doctor Who Adventures: Issue 160 - REGENERATED

Doctor Who Who Adventures is regenerating!

Out today is the very last issue with the old logo. Next week it's out with the old and in with the new... sadly.

Here is what it will look like:

It doesn't look that bad but the "Adventures" writing looks terrible. It's cartoony, childish writing which doesn't go well with a classy, adult logo like that. Absolutely terrible.

Anyway, the next issue is at the regular price of 2.10 and will come with a free TARDIS clock as well as the first in a set of tokens needed to enter a competition to win a life size Dalek!

The new DWA goes on sale on Thursday April 1st.
----------------------------------------
In other news, Doctor Who Magazine editor, Tom Spilsbury, has confirmed that the new issue of DWM, due out in one week, will be a multiple cover issue. The covers will be revealed next week. The issue will also contain previews for the first 4 adventures; The Eleventh Hour, The Beast Below, Victory of the Daleks and Time of the Angels/Flesh and Stone.
------------------------------------------
Apologies for the lack of posts lately. I am working on an extremely important project with Matt and don't have much spare time. I will try and post the odd news post (Such as this) but I'm afraid we won't really be back to normal until after Easter Weekend.

Easter Competition

Easter is coming!
And what better way to celebrate than with a Doctor Who Easter Egg?
Fancy winning one free of charge? Look no further!

That's right! We're giving away a Doctor Who Easter Egg to one lucky visitor! Better still - the winner gets to choose their Easter Egg!

Yesterday we posted photos and information of all four 2010 Doctor Who Easter Eggs and if you win this competition, rather than us sending you a certain one, you get to pick which of the four you want!! These are the ones available:

So, how do you win this brilliant prize? Just answer this simple question based on the 2009 Doctor Who Easter Special, Planet of the Dead:

What colour was the foil of the easter egg the Doctor was carrying?
A) Purple
B) Gold
C) Red
D) Blue

*Cough* BBC3 - 7PM - TONIGHT *COUGH*

Fill in this form with your answer along with your details by 8pm on Sunday 28th March to enter! Sorry it's so soon but I need to send it in time for Easter. Originally you were going to have 2 weeks to enter (And it was going to be a quiz, not just one question) but the delays in our return meant that was not possible.

All correct answers will be put into a draw and the first name pulled out will win!

The winner will be announced on Monday 29th and will be contacted that night to choose their Easter Egg. It will then be sent on the evening of Thursday 1st April so it arrives on Saturday 3rd, as close to Easter Sunday as possible.

There are no costs for entry to the competition and the prize is completely free including postage.

If you have any questions, please contact us by clicking here.

Spread the word about the competition and get entering! Thanks!

Oh, and don't forget that on Easter Monday we will be reviewing all four 2010 Doctor Who Easter Eggs!

Press Launch Video

Tonight in Wales, the press launch for The Eleventh Hour is taking place. Here is the news coverage on it:

Big thanks to Blogtor Who!

As you can see, it includes a clip from The Eleventh Hour of the Doctor and young Amy. Similar to the Doctor`s relationship with Reinette in The Girl in the Fireplace.

But now, there is the danger of spoilers. And once the UK tour of The Eleventh Hour begins, it will be almost impossible to avoid them. I hope no one ruins the surprise of the TARDIS interior (But no doubt someone who goes to the tour will)!

We're Back!

Yes, that's right! We are finally back!
After 80 days in the dark and alot of delay over the past few days, News Through Time and Space is back - and bigger than ever!

As you can see, we have a complete new design which I have been working on for ages! Let us know what you think about it! We also have 10 pages now so take a look around and again, let us know what you think! We need your feedback!

Later tonight, we'll start posting news again but there is one huge change - WE NO LONGER POST SPOILERS! By that, we mean things like set reports. Our spoiler definition here is if something is confirmed by the BBC (E.g The Daleks in Series Five), it's not a spoiler.
This means absolutely anyone can visit now! We may return to posting spoilers but it depends how this goes. The next few weeks will be a "trial run".

We really hope you like the new look and new pages! Please do take a look around and please let us know what you think. We've put alot of work into this and it has taken a long time so we really appreciate your thoughts.

Like I said, the next few weeks are a "trial run". We may still change things. But for now, this is News Through Time and Space.

One thing I haven't done is make individual banners for each page. I'll try and do that this weekend. I didn't have time before.

So, here we go! News Through Time and Space is back! And the future looks bright! We've got lots planned! For starters, you can expect an Easter Competition to launch on Sunday which is certainly worth entering and I'm going to write a (long) Behind the Scenes piece on the process of our return so you have that to look forward to!

The future's bright for News Through Time and Space! We're back! And better than ever before!

Farewell...

Hello everyone,

As you have probably noticed, we haven`t returned on the 23rd as I said we would. I`m afraid, it`s not just a delay - we are closing permanently.
I just don`t have time to run the blog. There are many reasons and I`m going to be even busier than I am now in the New Year so I think it`s time to step back. Besides, hardly anyone visits here so it doesn`t seem worth it. Unfortunately, the new design will never be seen, the new pages will never be opened and the online magazine will never be read. It is a shame as I had worked so hard on this blog and on the features I was hoping to launch on January 1st. I`m sure you`ll agree that the blog has been going down hill lately as I have been so busy. I was hoping this would change in the New Year but I`m afraid that it won`t and I don`t want to disappoint.

I would like to thank each and every one of you who are reading this. All of you people who visit the blog, who check back regularly and who subscribe - you`ll all made this such an enjoyable experience. And of course, special thanks must go to Chandra! Our back-up poster did such a wonderful job whenever I was away and was always able to help. He really was a tremendous help. Thank you Chandra!

So this is it, the final goodbye. I hope you have enjoyed the blog while it`s lasted. We`ve been running for 155 days, reached almost 10,000 hits and made 299 posts. It has been brilliant! Thank you all! So, for now this is goodbye. One day, the blog may return, infact, I`m almost certain it will. But for now, it`s time for a break. So in the words of the 1st Doctor, One day, I will come back. Yes, I will come back. Until then there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine :P
If you want to be the first to know if we`re returning, just subscribe to News Through Time and Space

Before I go, I just want to say you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic... And you know what? So was I! *Regenerates/Logs Off*

*Facepalm*

Thank You...

We Are Temporarily Closed!

Hello,

I'm afraid News Through Time and Space is temporarily closed!

I am working on a new design for the blog including new pages which I hope to launch on January 1st and if I am going to do that, I need to concentrate on just that and not post.

We will however, be reopening on Wednesday 23rd December!

Please continue to visit once we are running normally again!

If you'd like to receive updates regarding the closure including the finalised date and time of re-opening, please email me at doctorwhodave@gmail.com or fill in this email form and simply put "Updates" in the message box.

Thanks for your understanding and we'll see you on the 21st!

"Christmas Is Cancelled"

Well, not really but since Naismith says that in the End of Time trailer I thought I would too :P
No, Christmas isn't cancelled but I'm afraid our Advent Calendar is...

I'm very busy lately and it's hard enough to post all of the advent stuff in my free time, never mind creating everything for the calendar. I just don't have time and there is no way I can fill all 25 spaces in the calendar. Lots of people promised me they would do things for the calendar and very few have actually done so. So, the advent calendar must end. Hopefully by next year the blog will be more popular and we'll have more contributions to the calendar.

But that's not the only sad news. Also, the blog is temporarily closing...
If I'm going to have the new blog design and pages ready for New Years, there's no way I can post news too (And even without posting news, I'm not sure if I'll be ready in time) so I am going to have to close temporarily while I sort it. Hopefully, we will reopen on Monday 21st December.

Sorry everyone!

Please stick with us though - normal service will resume by January.

Thanks!

P.S I'm going to post again about the blog closing so it's the first thing visitors see :)
